KLC has acted as external legal counsel to the European Investment Bank (EIB)

KLC has acted as external legal counsel to the European Investment Bank (EIB) in its capacity as Manager of the Infrastructure Fund of Funds (InfraFoF) set up to finance projects in the areas of energy efficiency, renewable energy and sustainable urban infrastructure with funds up to the total amount of € 450 million. To this end EIB has entered into operational agreements with National Bank of Greece, Piraeus Bank and the consortium of Alpha Bank & Eurobank Ergasias, which shall act as Financial Intermediaries in channeling the funds of InfraFoF along with their own co-financing funds to eligible projects in Greece. The EIB has engaged KLC Law Firm since November 2017 for the implementation of all ESIF financial instruments mandates assigned to EIB. The KLC team is led by Dr Panagiotis Tzioumas, managing partner, and supported by Georgia Mathiopoulou, senior associate, and Arianna Chatzimarkou.
