Extension of deadline for registration of legal entities with the Central Registry of Beneficial Owners

Yesterday, it was made known that, on 30.10.2019 an amendment of the Ministerial Decision no. 67343 ΕΞ 2019/19-06-2019 concerning the registration of legal entities with the Central Registry of Beneficial Owners was signed, pursuant to which the deadlines until when legal entities are required to register their beneficial owners with the electronic system of TaxisNet are extended.

In particular, an extension is provided for the legal entities mentioned in the abovementioned Ministerial Decision, as follows:

- Group A until 25.11.2019

- Group B until 28.11.2019

- Group C until 12.12.2019

The Ministry of Finance sets as its priority the proper registration of the liable legal entities’ data with the Central Registry, in order to achieve transparency of corporate structures and to prevent them being misused for the purpose of money laundering and terrorist financing.
