The legal services we provide include:
- specialized legal support in project finance planning (security documents, issues relating to concessionaire's default etc.) as well as issues of allocation of the business risk among the state, the lenders, the concessionaire and the contractor
- legal support in the tender procedures (drafting of invitations to tender, tender documents, contractual documents, objections, petitions for interim measures etc.)
- support in the course of negotiations
- drafting contracts
- legal support on the implementation of contracts
- representing clients before administrative authorities, courts and courts of arbitration.
Track Record
KLC has represented the Greek State, various public entities, contractors and financial institutions in a number of infrastructure projects, involving:
- acting as expert legal advisor to the Greek State on the project of construction and operation of the most significant part of the Greek motorway network (worth € 4,000,000,000 approx.)
- advising the public corporation entrusted with the post-Olympic management and operation of the Olympic venues on a tender procedure for the granting of the right of development and long-term operation of one such facility
- advising a large airport construction, operation and management company on contractual obligations under a BOT contract
- involvement in public works and concession contracts in the former Soviet Union and South-Eastern Europe
- providing full legal support to an international group of companies during the construction and management of major infrastructure projects in Bulgaria.
